Thank You Card

Here's a card I put together for 1 sweet Mama who I recently won some candy from. I used the Cupcake Rosie stamp that I won from her along with the pearls and flowers that she added to my package. Thank you again so much Mama for your sweet and generous candy!

Monster One-derland

I saw these suitcases on Becky Roberts's Inking Idaho blog a while ago. I thought they were so adorable but never got around to trying to make them. Well my DH's co-worker is planning her son's first birthday party and she chose a monster theme for his party. She is having some monsters knitted for her but she needed to figure out how to work the little monsters into a centerpiece. She is even naming each monster and making little birth certificates and adoption certificates for each of the 30 monsters she's making...so adorable huh?! Anyways, she asked me if I could help her come up with some centerpiece ideas. I thought it would be really cute if each monster came with it's own suitcase so that the lucky party guests who get to take home the centerpiece, can take home their new adoptee in it's own suitcase. I made these suitcases just to be able to play with the size and be able to visualize it better. My DH's co-worker loved them...now she's trying to decide if she wants to have a couple of different sized suitcases stacked on top of each other so that it stands out more as a centerpiece. Thanks for stopping by again. I hope you're having a great St. Patrick's Day! :-)

Baby Shower Favor

One of the mom's in my son's class is expecting a baby girl next month. Our sons hit it off from the very start during the screening process for the school a few years ago. So I thought it would be nice to throw her a little baby shower since a few of us mom's get together for dinner every so many months. Here is the favor that I'm making for the shower. I found this on Tammy's (Fun Paper Candy Demo's) website. This actually came together quicker than I thought it would. I just think it's so cute! Now I'm trying to put together a baby carriage diaper cake to go along with her favors! :-)

Simple Wedding Card

I put together this really quick card this morning for a wedding my DH and I are attending tomorrow night. I CASEd this from the SCS gallery. I really liked the simplicity of it. I added a small pocket to the inside where I'll include our gift.

My DH is taking me on a weekend getaway in Waikiki since all of his recent business travel has earned him a few free nights at the Hyatt. Since our anniversary is coming up this week and the wedding we are attending is in Waikiki, we decided it would be the perfect time for a little staycation...minus the kiddies who will be spending some QT with Grandma and Papa! I can't believe we've been together for 19 years!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

Monkeying Around

I made this birthday card last week but I just wasn't happy with it. So I ended up holding onto it instead of giving it out this past weekend like I had intended. I think it needs a little more work. I decided to post it just because I think that little monkey is just so cute and I love how this spinner card has him tumbling towards the tree.

I've Been a Lucky Girl

I've been dealing with a house full of sick people (myself included) for the past few weeks and have just started trying to get our lives back on our routine. During those weeks however, I did receive a few packages that really brightened up my germ filled days!

This first bunch of sweet stuff, I won from Angie of My Boat back in January. Angie is in Italy so it took a while to get to me...and boy did the anticipation build up. I was so excited when my post man brought this package to my door. When I got the package open, I was so happy to find that Angie had included a few of her creations in my box-an adorable candy slider, a wonderful pocket calendar, and one of her awesome cards. Thank you so much Angie!!!
During this time, I also won 1LuvnMama's Cupcake Rosie candy and received my goodies! I was so surprised that I won because I really never win anything and I entered right before her deadline. She even included a few extra goodies that got me even more excited once I got her package open. Thank you so much Mama!

I still can't believe that I won these awesome prizes! I can't wait to start creating stuff with all of these goodies. I feel so lucky and thankful to Angie and Mama for their extreme generosity! Thank you both so very much!!!

Tsunami Day Project

Since we had a tsunami warning here on Saturday, my husband was called into work at like 3:30 a.m. That left me at home alone with the kids. The kids were keeping busy by watching cartoons and playing together while I tried to stay informed to the status of the tsunami by watching the news. It's never a good feeling when you don't have your entire family together during times like these. Anyways, since the kids were being "good", it gave me the opportunity to do a little crafting. I found the tutorial for this luminary here and just added a cover to it. I was actually going to add a handle to it but then decided to put a cover on it instead. And I just so happened to have some flameless tealights at home so I was able to light this up right away. This was such a fun project to work on and it came together really fast!

Yet Another One

I know, I know, not another one...LOL! Sorry, I really love making these easel boxes and I actually pre-made a few of the box part of these..I just needed to decorate them. I made this one for my mom for Valentine's Day. Her favorite color is purple so it worked out perfect since I already had a pre-made purple box! I was able to throw this together in no time! :-)

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you're all having a great day!

Another Easel Box

I made this easel box for a family friend who is visiting from Japan. She and her husband come to Hawaii at least twice a year and stay for months each time they are here. They are very sweet and generous people who even send goodies to my family throughout the year. She really liked the easel box that I just made for my MIL so I thought I'd make one for her too. I hope she likes it.

Thanks for visiting my blog! I truly appreciate all of your kind comments!

Birthday Cards

A few of my GF's just had birthdays. Their birthdays are actually like a week and a half apart. Since I've been trying to get back into my crafting, I decided to make them cards. I had to come up with these quick as we were getting together for breakfast to celebrate their birthdays and I was making these at like midnight the night before! They are very simple....I would have added more "bling" to them but honestly, I was just too tired! *YAWN*

Thanks for stopping by. I hope your weekend is off to a good start!

Valentine's Day Gifts

Here are a couple of gifts I made for Valentine's Day. I really have not had the energy to craft lately, but I did manage to push out a couple of gifts using some of the new SU! supplies I've been wanting to use.

I was feeling on top of things last month. I thought to myself I'd get a head start on Valentine's Day gifts and actually made this box for my GF Brenda like weeks before, and yet she still beat me in getting her gift to me. I'm telling you, my time management skills....LOL!
This is a photo cube that I made for my husband (from our kiddies). We filled it with M&M's. I found the tutorial on SCS.
I just love making these easel boxes and since I've never made one for my MIL, I thought it would be the perfect Valentine's Day gift for her from her grandbabies.
Okay, hopefully these projects jumpstart my crafting again. Maybe, too, since my DH is back from his work trip I'll have more time to craft! (fingers crossed)! :-)

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Spiderman Birthday Party

My son recently turned 5 years old (I still can't believe it). He chose Spiderman this year for his birthday party theme. That worked out great for me because it gave me the opportunity to use some of the SU! Sweet Treat Cups that I had bought a while ago.

I remembered seeing these great spider favors on numerous blogs during Halloween and thought they would be perfect little favors for my son's party. And here are the simple goodie bags I made for the kiddies
Don't look too closely at the goodie bags. I really don't know how to use the stamping wheels well yet....or more like I don't have the patience to align it properly so I just go for it! hehehe!

Thanks for stopping by!
