End of the School Year Teacher's Gift

My DS's last day of school was yesterday.  He will be moving on to first grade next school year and his little sister will be joining him at school as a kindergartener! :-)  Life will sure be different with both of them at school and mommy at home able to sit in front of the t.v. with some bon bons all day...LOL - YEAH RIGHT!  A mother's job is NEVER done and I know I will easily fill my days with things that need to get done!

ANYWAYS, here is what I made for his teachers.  He had two very awesome teacher's this year.  My DH and I loved them both and hope that our DD will be in their class next school year.  Unfortunately I didn't have too much time to dedicate to their gifts since we've been busy with graduations and other family events but I think these thank you cards will come in handy for them.

Now let summer vacation begin!  Both my babies will be home with me for the summer so I have been trying to line up some fun stuff for us to do.  Snooze at the Zoo, camping, beach days, and park days have all been added to the list.  I can't wait to start getting my house back in order too!  :-)

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Mother's Day Cards

Here are some Mother's Day cards that I made for my MIL and DM.  I used the sliding pop-up card tutorial on SCS for these cards....so super quick and easy to put together...which is just my speed especially since I didn't start putting these together until I woke up on Mother's Day. (YIKES!)

This is the card I made for my MIL.  My DH and my SIL decided to give her a joint gift.  She loved both her gift and card!

This is the card I made for my DM.  I used the same stamp set for both cards because both my MIL and my DM have similar hair styles to this image. :-)
I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!  Thank you so much for stopping by!

Teacher's Appreciation Day Gifts

My DS's teachers work so hard managing 42 children 5 days a week that I wanted to make sure that my he game them a little something for Teacher's Appreciation Day today. I didn't have much time to put something together since I had a paper due for my class and with the busy weekend we had I wasn't able to work on it until last night! (YIKES...talk about procrastination). Luckily I had picked up some extra supplies to put these magnetic boards together...these came together in minutes! If I had had more time, I probably would have dressed them up a bit more....but I think they're cute enough even without the added embellishments. :-)

Here's the little note my son wrote for his teacher...I made the magnets with matching cherries paper - so super fast!
Thank you for taking time to stop by my blog! Hope you had a great day!

Birthday at the Zoo

My son was invited to a birthday party at the zoo this weekend...it was a night time, Twilight Tour party. My DH accompanied him and said that it was a really good tour. They were able to see lots of animals and the kids all had such a great time. Anyways, here is the card I made for the birthday boy.

First Birthday Card

My family and I attended a first birthday party this weekend...unfortunately I COMPLETELY forgot that I needed a card for it. So I had to throw something together before we left for the party that morning. Good thing I already had this Hello Kitty cut out and assembled...made putting this card together so much more faster!
Hope you had a great weekend...thanks for stopping by!

Baby Shower Gift

My husband needed a baby shower gift for some co-workers...both mom & dad to be work with him. Actually, I am so behind on posting that they actually had their baby boy already!! Anyways, this is what I came up with...

Here's the card I made for them...quick and simple
...and this is the gift I put together. It's supposed to be a diaper cake bike but not too sure if you can tell from the pictures
Thank you so much for stopping by. Sorry for my junkie pictures! I'm so behind on my projects that I'm always having to take pictures with my phone's camera right before they are being delivered to their recipients! YIKES!

Easter RAKs

Here are some Easter RAK's I got from a couple of awesome sweet friends.

This adorable box was made by Mama! Thank you so much for thinking of me Mama...I love it!
And this adorable Easter basket is from Brenda! It's always such a treat when I receive happy mail like this!! Thank you so much Brenda...you are always so thoughtful!
I actually ended up seeing Brenda in the afternoon on Easter and she gave me these boxes for my son and daughter. Aren't they adorable? She said her daughters helped her make them that morning! Amazing...they are as talented as their mom! :-)
Look what was inside...ADORABLE Easter cupcakes!
Thank you again so very much Mama and Brenda for your thoughtfulness and especially for your friendship!

Happy Easter

This is about 65 bunnies that I cut out for Easter goodies for both my son's and daughter's classes, their teachers, and a few good friends.

This is what I put together for my kid's classmates...homemade sidewalk chalk paint! :-)
Super fast bag toppers...used my top note die, watermark stamped eggs on it, added the Happy Easter greeting, and finished off by adhering the cute little bunny!
Here's what I gave to their teachers and a few special friends. I used the pattern that came with the stamp set for the box and finally got to use my embossing borders that I've had for so long but never used!
I hope you had a wonder Easter! Thank you for stopping by!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Well I was browsing the internet for some St. Patrick's Day inspiration and came across some cute little leprechaun pillow boxes! I immediately started digging through my paper and punches for the supplies. I only had to make 12 of these boxes for my daughter's Tiny Tots class but they came together so quickly that I made a few extra for some family members. I picked up some gold foil covered chocolate coins to fill these cute little boxes with and voila! :-)
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you remembered to wear green today! ;-) Happy St. Patrick's day!!

Happy Girl's Day

Here are some super quick and simple Girl's Day gifts I put together today (yes last minute) for my kid's teachers and a few family members. I actually baked the chi chi dango (mochi) with my kids yesterday and had them help me cut it up and roll it in the katakuriko (potato starch) last night. It was definitely a fun and messy evening in our house last night. And on top of that, my kids LOVE chi chi dango so it was quite a challenge getting through the process without them trying to sneak some pieces into their mouths!! :-)

Anyways, this morning I decided to try to dress up the containers that I placed some of the chi chi dango in. I saw this bookmark on SCS and thought it would be the perfect (and quick) little "something" to add to these containers. They came together really fast and surprisingly I had all of the supplies I needed to put these girls together.
Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you are enjoying your Girl's Day!!

Housewarming Card

Here is the housewarming card that went along with the Home Made box that I made for my husband. Super quick and easy card to throw together...and it gave me the opportunity to ink up a stamp set that I had never used before...gotta love that!!

Home Made Box

My DH came home from work one day early last week and let me know that he needed a housewarming gift by the end of the week. Well I instantly thought about the haunted houses that Mama made for Halloween! I went to order the template and then found out that the coordinating stamp set for it would not reach me in time for the housewarming party at the end of the week! Well, luckily for me Mama is such a sweet and generous person...she let me borrow her stamp set so that I could finish putting together this little house! I wasn't quite sure how it would turn out since I was rushing to put it all together but my DH was happy with it which was the main thing for me! Thanks again so much Mama for lending me your stamp set...I truly appreciate it! :-)
