I was feeling a bit ambitious when I woke up this morning and thought I'd put together a quick tutorial for something I've been working on. I've been trying to think of favors for my daughters upcoming birthday and came up with a holder that fits the fun size M & M's pouches perfectly. I needed something easy and quick since I have to make about 50 of them. This is my first tutorial so I apologize if it doesn't "flow" the way it should. Here we go...Take a 3 3/4" x 10 1/2" piece of paper and...
...score it at 1 1/4", 5", 5 1/2", & 9 1/4"
Punch each end of the paper using a scallop edge punch
It should look like this
Fold back the scalloped edges...
...and fold in on the middle score lines
It should look like this now
Using a horizontal slot punch, punch one end of the holder then...
...using the punched side, mark the opposite side of the holder so that the slots line up
Punch out the marked area
Apply adhesive in the creased areas on both ends of the holder
Fold the flaps down
It should look like this...the slots line up perfectly
On the "back" side of the holder, punch slits to hold the M&M's pouch in place
The M&M's bag should fit nicely between the slits
Tie a ribbon through the horizontal slots...
...and embellish
