Secret Message Card

I watched a video tutorial on this type of secret message card on Dawn's Stamping Thoughts and just had to make one. Since my dad's birthday is next week and he gets a kick out of the interactive cards I make for him, I decided this would be perfect for him. I decided to use stickers to embellish his card since I found this super cute sticker set and thought it would be perfect for my dad's card since he loves fishing and camping! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are enjoying this long weekend!

End of the School Year Gifts

I got my "Create a Critter" Cricuit cartridge around the same time that I was trying to figure out what to make for end of the school year gifts for my son's preschool teachers. I just fell in love with that cartridge from the time I started seeing sneak previews of this cartridge on other blogs. So of course when I finally got it, I just had to start using it!! I decided to make a set of cards for my son's teachers. And then I was trying to figure out how to wrap them up when I stumbled across Joy's Mother's Day gift post and my problem was instantly solved...thanks Joy!! :-)

I decided to add a laminated tag to the totes to add a personalized touch to their gifts
Each of the totes contained 6 (simple) thank you cards and envelopes
The inside of the totes were plain, since I used one sided DP, so I decided to use DP for the the pockets
I can't believe my son is graduating from preschool already...he's going to be starting kindergarten soon!!! (sniff, sniff) Man, they really do grow up SO fast!!

Thank you for stopping by! I hope your week is off to a good start!!

Thank You Elena

I recently won one of Elena's blogaversary giveaways!! I was so excited when it came in the mail the other day! I absolutely love the little Hello Kitty bag that Elena sewed...it even has a plastic liner! My DH thought the "Craftaholics Anonymous" was quite appropriate and started chuckling when I showed it to him. Elena is so talented...if you haven't visited her blog yet, please go check it out now. You'll be glad that you did!

Below is the thank you card I made for Elena. Thank you again Elena...I LOVE my bags!!

Baby Shower

First off, I just wanted to post a few pictures of the Hello Kitty cakes that I recently bought at the Sanrio Cafe in Pearlridge. The one my daughter is holding is their Strawberry flavor and the brown one is Banana. They were so YUMMY and almost too cute (for me) to eat...my daughter on the other hand, had no problem just digging HK's eye out and eating it!

Okay, now on to the "Baby Shower" portion of my post! :-) Today was the baby shower I have been planning for one of the mom's from my son's preschool class. I decided on a pink/white/brown, baby carriage/Hello Kitty themed shower...LOL! As you may know, from one of my earlier posts, I had already put together the little baby carriage favors using a pink, white, and brown color combo (hence the color/baby carriage theme). But I had originally planned on just bagging up some candy to put in them, that is, until my visit to the Sanrio Cafe!! Since the cafe is part of the store, I OF COURSE, had to take a walk through the store! LOL! As soon as I saw the cute little HK wind up toys I knew I had to get them for the shower so I decided to put them in the baby carriage favors instead of the candy...which created the Hello Kitty co-theme! hehe! I couldn't find any Hello Kitty baby things so I decided to add a HK doll to my baby carriage diaper cake.

Here's the baby carriage "diaper cake" that I put together. Actually, the only diapers you could see were the wheels...the rest lined the inside of the carriage. Included in this baby carriage were a wicker basket, 1 pack of 40 size 1 diapers, 2 blankets, 3 burp cloths, 1 bib set, 2 baby gowns, 1 book, 1 beenie/mittens/bootie set, 1 baby rattle, 1 baby wash/baby bubble bath set, 1 tube of diaper rash ointment, and 1 Hello Kitty doll. Here are the completed favors
And lastly, the card I put together for her gift
We had a great time eating breakfast, playing a few games, and just talking. I always have a great time with this bunch of ladies...I hope we are able to stay in touch even after our children graduate from preschool next month!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Quick Smirk Card

Yesterday I had a fun shopping day with my wonderful MIL. I love that she's into crafting too and that we both get so excited whenever we get the chance to go shopping for more "supplies" together! :-) While we were shopping, she picked up a few of the new Smirk stamps for me...how sweet is that?! Well she told me to hurry and make something with it so I put this quick card together for her before she stopped by tonight.

Thanks for stopping by!

Quick Thank You Card

Needed a thank you card for my aunty...here's what I came up with. My mom was sending her a box of goodies and was ready to seal up the box and take it to the post office so I needed to put something together quickly. It's a good thing I had the flower already premade. I used my scraps and just adhered everything together in a few minutes...WHEW! :-)

I hope you are all having a good week! Thanks for stopping by.

It was such a cute, girly party with lots of Hello Kitty decorations! Everything Brenda does is fabulous so of course her parties would be too! My kids had a great time and were still talking about it this morning!! :-)

Here's the birthday card I made for Brielle. Happy birthday again Brielle! Thank you for making our day so much fun!

Sweet Card

Just wanted to post this sweet thank you card that I received from my GF Michelle. I love shaker cards and she filled this one with glitter and hearts...so sweet!!
