Skater Ian Easel Card

I needed a card for another birthday party we're supposed to go to this weekend. With another little boy birthday, it gave me a chance to ink up this Skater Ian stamp that I've had for a while but never used! I love making easel cards because they come together so quickly and yet have some "wow" power.

Thanks for stopping by. I truly appreciate all of your kind comments! Have a great day!!

Monster Easel Card

Here is the birthday card I made for my husband's co-worker's son. His first birthday party is on Saturday and I will finally get to see how all of those suitcases that I made held up after she packaged them up with the little monsters she had made. I used the new SU! stamp set "Make a Monster" for this card. I was trying to make this little monster look like ones she is using for her theme and tried to keep it with her color scheme. This was a fun card to put together and it was quick and simple too!

Double Side Step Card

I recently got some new "goodies" in the mail and immediately got to crafting!! I needed a birthday card for one of my GF's and this is what I came up with. I used the new SU! Kimono Kids set that I instantly fell in love with when I saw it in the new catalog. After seeing Jenny's adorable monkey card a few weeks ago, I knew I had to give this double side step card a try and thought this stamp set would work well because I wanted to be able to hang the lanterns from one side of the card to the other. Thanks Jenny for the inspiration!! :-)

Suitcases Galore

I finally finished the 30 suitcases for my DH's co-worker (although I forgot to take a picture of the first 6 I gave her a while ago). I mentioned in a previous post she needed some help with centerpiece ideas and I thought these suitcases would go great with her son's Monster One-derland themed party. Again, I got the tutorial for these great suitcases from Becky Roberts (Inking Idaho).

Here's a picture of all of the little monsters she had knitted for the centerpieces...too, too CUTE!
Thank you for stopping by! I can't believe it's July already!!! Have a great day!

Graduation Cap Card

We recently celebrated our cousin's high school graduation. I always find it so challenging to make cards for guys...and this was no exception. Luckily, I visited Eunice's blog and saw the graduation cards she had made and became inspired. Mines is definitely a lot more plain than hers since I didn't have much time to work on it, but it served its purpose. This was such a fun card to make and I know I'll be making it again! Thank you Eunice for the inspiration!!

Secret Message Card

I watched a video tutorial on this type of secret message card on Dawn's Stamping Thoughts and just had to make one. Since my dad's birthday is next week and he gets a kick out of the interactive cards I make for him, I decided this would be perfect for him. I decided to use stickers to embellish his card since I found this super cute sticker set and thought it would be perfect for my dad's card since he loves fishing and camping! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are enjoying this long weekend!

End of the School Year Gifts

I got my "Create a Critter" Cricuit cartridge around the same time that I was trying to figure out what to make for end of the school year gifts for my son's preschool teachers. I just fell in love with that cartridge from the time I started seeing sneak previews of this cartridge on other blogs. So of course when I finally got it, I just had to start using it!! I decided to make a set of cards for my son's teachers. And then I was trying to figure out how to wrap them up when I stumbled across Joy's Mother's Day gift post and my problem was instantly solved...thanks Joy!! :-)

I decided to add a laminated tag to the totes to add a personalized touch to their gifts
Each of the totes contained 6 (simple) thank you cards and envelopes
The inside of the totes were plain, since I used one sided DP, so I decided to use DP for the the pockets
I can't believe my son is graduating from preschool already...he's going to be starting kindergarten soon!!! (sniff, sniff) Man, they really do grow up SO fast!!

Thank you for stopping by! I hope your week is off to a good start!!

Below is the thank you card I made for Elena. Thank you again Elena...I LOVE my bags!!
