My goodness, today must have been my day! :-) I started my day with an award and I end my day with another one! My good friend Brenda of Sweet as a Gumdrop gave me this wonderful award! Brenda and I have been friends for many, many years and even though we lost contact for some time after we graduated from high school together, she has been there for me when I've needed a friend the most! I truly appreciate our friendship and am so grateful to have her in my life. You are the best Brenda and I send this award right back at you!!

My FIRST EVER Blog Award
What a way to start my day! I woke up this morning with the news that I had been awarded with my first ever blog award! Jenny of Crazy for Paper Crafting absolutely made my day by thinking that I was worthy enough for such a wonderful award!! I am so new to all of this and am no where near the level of crafting that Jenny is at so it really touches me that she would even consider me for such an award...thank you so much Jenny!!
This wonderful land of blogging has reminded me of the kindness and generosity that are in people. All of you in this crafting blog land definitely deserve this award! There are a few people that I would like to acknowledge, however, that have been ESPECIALLY kind and generous to me in the few short months that I have been in Blog Land! I hope that this award will brighten your day as much as it has mines!! :-)

Smirk Card
Okay, can I just say that I have fallen in love with this Smirk line?? My mom-in-law (who's just the bestestest) went on a mini shopping spree yesterday and bought me a bunch of goodies... a Grab 'n Go case (so I can take my projects with me when I make my many trips to the hospital and to my parent's house), a bunch of great ribbon, and last but absolutely not least a pack of Naughty but Nice Smirk paper which she bought from Brian at Photo Craft. As soon as I tore into the paper pack, I just wanted to make something with it! I came up with this card.
I don't know if you can see it, but the butterflies on the background paper, which was part of this paper pack, actually has glitter on them.
And the wording under the characters have a shiny, foil like finish. I just think this line of goodies are so cute! I finished the card up by adding some flower rhinestones that I picked up at ManLe's store this past weekend.
Thanks for stopping by!! It's been a stressful few months for me and crafting has been my stress reliever! I appreciate all of your kind words and I'm so happy I discovered this wonderful sisterhood of craft bloggers! :-)

50's Sweethearts Card
I got this 50's Sweethearts digital stamp through The Greeting Farm a little while back but only got a chance to play with it this weekend. I had also bought some Cuttlebug Embossing Borders a while back and thought it would pair nicely with this image.
I was lucky enough to be able to stop by Manle's sale at The Pineapple Cove this weekend and picked me up a bunch of Stickles!!! So I used my NEW bottle of Xmas Red Stickles on the heart and added a little rhinestone, which I also bought at TPC, to the bow in Anya's hair. I embossed the red cardstock with my Swiss Dots folder and I used my Copics to color the cute couple. I finished the card off by adding a few dew drops for some added dimension.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great Monday!

Post It Note Covers
I recently found Angie Kennedy Juda of Chic' n Scratch on YouTube. She posted a tutorial on how to make these cute little Coaster Post It Notes. I love all of her tutorials! These post it note covers are so simple and fast to make!! I didn't have any coasters but I did have a some chipboard that I used instead. If you haven't seen these before, go check it out. They would make great Christmas gifts!
Sorry for this terrible picture of them, I was finishing them up in the car on our way to Relay for Life yesterday and almost forgot to take a picture of them before I handed them out to my mom, mom-in-law, and sis-in-law!!
Oh and as soon as I got home from picking up my prize from Michelle a few days ago, I just had to ink up the Magnolia stamp that was included! I haven't made anything with her yet but I wanted to see her all colored in!! She is just so cute!!

Thank You Michelle
I was so excited to meet Michelle today...not just because I was going to pick up my goodies that I won from her (WOOHOO) but also because I LOVE visiting her blog and seeing all of the fabulous things that she makes. She is also the very first blog friend I have met in person!! It was so nice to meet her and her beautiful daughter too. They are both just the sweetest and her daughter was just so adorable with her pink shades on top of her head and holding her own little purse.
When I got home and dove into all of the things I had won, I was in heaven!! There were a bunch of beautiful DP (I'm so obsessed with paper), 6 rolls of ribbon, a set of buttons, a set of fabric flowers, a Hello Kitty Sizzix die, a So Girly! Chloe Sizzix die, an owl Sizzix die, the sock monkey SU stamp set (which I had been eyeing up), an adorable Magnolia stamp (my very first one), a scrapping kit, a sparkle rub-on's set, some really pretty K&Co. stickers, a set of foam letters stamps, and last but definitely not least, a beautiful framed personalized monogram creation made by Michelle herself. WHEW...what a bunch of great stuff huh? Thank you again Michelle so very much for your generosity! I absolutely LOVE Hello Kitty and was so happy to have won this great piece of art Michelle made!
With all of the goodies Michelle was so generously giving to me, I didn't want to meet her empty handed. So last night I put together a simple arrangement (using my Cricut) to let her know how thankful I was!!
I added some bling to Hello Kitty by adding some pearls and Stickles here and there
To help the "Thank You" stand out, I used my glitter paper (that I got from Target) for the letters, backed it with some yellow cardstock, and adhered the white circle behind it using some thick pop dots so that I could stick the skewers through it.

Simple Notecards
Here are some note cards I made recently. I was able to use up some of my pretty papers for these. I used black pearls at the bottom of them to accent the black that was the common color theme in this set of note cards. I also used my Stickles on the flower that is on the monogram and added a mini pearl to it just for some added dimension. I added some white dots on the scalloped circle using my white gel pen and finished it off by popping up the scalloped circle! Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Wednesday!

Bookmark Card
I was flipping through one of the magazines that I picked up a while back and saw this Bookmark Card. I thought it was such a great idea for a card...a card that you can use! So I decided I'd give it a try. It was a fun card to put together! You can't really see it but I added some Stickles to the flowers that are on the birds

Another Himawari Babies Card
Here's just a quick card I put together before I left the house for a long day of activities this 4th of July. I love the Boy's Day Dylan Himawari Babies image! In fact I bought my son a t-shirt, this past Christmas season, with him on it! He's just so adorable!

Himawari Babies Pocket Card
Well it just so happens that our family dog's name is Kuma! So when I received a bunch of Himawari Babies images from Denise (thank you so much Denise!!!) and saw that Kuma the Dog was included, I thought, "OMG...I have to make something with this!!" This is what I came up with. I added little Dylan behind the fence just because he looked like he belonged outside in the yard too! :-)
Happy 4th of July everyone and thanks for stopping by!
