Strawberry Shortcake Birthday Party

My daughter turned 3 on Saturday. We celebrated it by having a small Strawberry Shortcake themed birthday party for her with our family (I posted the strawberry themed invites I made a little while back). She is so into Strawberry Shortcake now, which is so much fun for me since I was a Strawberry Shortcake fan myself when I was little!! I had a lot of fun preparing for her birthday party!

A while back, I happened upon these little strawberry boxes on someone's blog. This was before my daughter got into Strawberry Shortcake. I couldn't locate the blog on which I originally saw these adorable boxes. After searching and searching (for many days), I finally found them on Lauren Meader's SCS's blog. I had to email her to get the template since the link she included in her post wasn't working. Of course, after finally receiving the template, I discover that a friend and fellow local blogger (Michelle) had the template on her Splitcoast Gallery all along! That's always the case with me...I'm a little slow!

Anyways, I knew these little strawberry boxes would be the perfect addition to my daughter's party!
I made about 60 of these. I put a Strawberries & Cream Lifesaver in each one.
These were the goodie bags I made for the little girls (I altered the measurements for these-I found the original instructions for these here)...
...and these are the ones I made for the boys. I had no clue what to do for the boys since I thought they wouldn't really appreciate the goodie bags I made for the girls! :-) I decided to go plain, and use a little camo paper for the boys since my son is so into military stuff now.
A Strawberry Shortcake themed party would not be complete without a strawberry flavored Strawberry Shortcake birthday cake (made by my mom)!! Thank you again for stopping by and for all of your kind comments! I love getting feedback from all of you! I hope you all have a great week!

Another Tent Topper Thank You Card

I recently won Elena's Hello Kitty Ornament blog candy and received them a few days ago. They are too cute and seeing them IRL really showed me the amount of work that went into making each one! I absolutely love them and had to put them away up high so my daughter isn't able to get at them since as soon as I opened the (handmade) box that they came in, she tried to run off with all of them!! They will make the PERFECT addition to our Hello Kitty Christmas ornament collection that my daughter and I started a few years ago.
Here's the cute box the ornaments arrived in.
They fit perfectly in the box!
There were 3 of each of these in the box...each one was unique and perfect (so much work)! My daughter, loving our new ornaments
With all the work that Elena put into making each of these ornaments, I had to make sure I sent her a Thank You card right away.
Thank you again Elena!! They will cherished for many years to come! :-)

Thank You Gift for Enjoli

I recently won Enjoli's Superstar Anya blog candy. When I opened up the package, I was so happy to get my hands on one of Enjoli's great notebooks and a coordinating PTI Perfect Match Box which contained 2 spools of ribbon!! Enjoli also gave me a Superstar Anya stamp, some rhinestones, and a Hello Kitty pen! How very sweet and generous!!!So my thank you to her is a bit late...sorry Enjoli. I made her a Peek-a-Boo card using the Superstar Anya stamp she gave me. I was HEAVILY inspired by Jenn Muraoka's video tutorial. While I was on Jenn's blog, I also ran across a video tutorial for a box with a belly band. I thought I'd give it a try since I wanted to send Enjoli a few goodies and needed something to put them in. The size of the box was perfect to fit everything in.
Thank you again Enjoli for all the SWEET candy!!!!

A Quick Sympathy Card

I had to throw together a quick sympathy card this morning for a friend who just lost her father. I didn't have much time to put this one together, as I was trying to beat our mail man so I could get it out since it's a little overdue, so I know it's not the nicest card. I just hope my friend gets the sentiment behind it. Thank you for stopping by!

Hello Kitty Gift Set

My cousin's birthday was a few weeks ago. She loves Hello Kitty stuff too so I made her a little drawer, pen, notebook, post-it holder, post-it keyring and card all using some Hello Kitty paper that I had for a while now. I also picked up a Hello Kitty lanyard and a monogram Hello Kitty sticker and placed them in the drawer. She's going to school at UH now so I think she'll be able to make use out of this gift set. Thanks for stopping by!

Strawberry Invitations

My DD will be celebrating her 3rd birthday in a few weeks. She is so into Strawberry Shortcake now. I searched and searched for a Strawberry Shortcake stamp but could not find one anywhere. So I came up with these, using my handy dandy Cricut, for her birthday party invites. I made about 25 of these in a couple of days (in between finishing up my MIL's Thank You cards)!! Thanks for stopping by! :-) I attached a small Strawberry Shortcake picture that I printed off the computer to the inside. I cut a little pop up slit to mount it on.

Last of the Thank You Cards

I was able to finish up my MIL's order of Thank You cards a few days ago. I delivered them to her yesterday and she loved them. I'm really glad I was able to help her out and that she liked the cards so much! It was a challenge for me to finish all 20 cards in a week. It normally takes me HOURS to complete just ONE card!! :-) Here are the last of them. Thanks for stopping by and for all of your sweet comments about my batch of Thank You cards! I really appreciate all of your kind words and your feedback! Hope you're all enjoying this long weekend!

More Thank You Cards

Here's a few more of the Thank You cards I finished for my MIL. I'm hoping to be able to finish the rest by tomorrow (fingers crossed)! As you can tell, I'm starting to run out of steam and my creative juices have definitely begun to flow very slowly. I have to try and hurry to get the rest done before "the juice" comes to a complete stop!!!
