Christmas Gifts for Mom's Friends

My mom asked me to make some post-it holders for her friends at work. I decided to use my BIA for these which helped to make these really quick to make. Since I had to make 23 of these in a day, I kept them super simple. I hope her friends like them.
Thank you so much for continuing to stop by (even though I am not a consistent poster) and for all of your kind comments. I am truly grateful for the wonderful friends I have made through my blog. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas filled with love and laughter!

Easel Calendar Boxes

I apologize for the junkie photos in this post...I couldn't find my camera and so I had to use my phone to take these shots. Anyways, I've been making easel calendar boxes as Christmas gifts for the past week or so. I forgot to get pictures of the first 2 I made for my son's teachers since I made them the night before we had to take them in! ;-) I included a gift card in each of the drawers for his teachers. For these, I included these notepad/calendar pocket-folios in the drawers. I got the instructions for the easel calendar boxes through Tammy Maxvill's Fun Paper Candy blog. These were so much fun to make!!

BIA Notebooks for Preschoolers

I've been wanting to use my BIA again so I decided to make these little notebooks as Christmas gifts for my son's preschool classmates. Even though the notebooks didn't turn out the way I had envisioned them, I was still pleased with the finished product. I kept them simple since I realized that at 3 & 4 years old, just seeing their names on something makes them happy enough...plus, again, I was having time managment issues and found myself putting all 23 of these together a couple of days before winter break was going to start! UGH!! I really think my New Year's resolution will have to be to work on that...I cause so much stress for myself! :-)

Mini Composition Books

I needed to put together some quick little gifts for my all of my friend's kids a few weeks ago. I bought these cute mini composition books and little mechanical pencils a little while back and decided they would be a perfect little something to give to them. I made 5 boy themed ones and 4 girl themed ones in a day! That's a real accomplishment for me since it normally takes me an entire day just to make ONE card!!! hehehe!!

Sorry for the bad picture...I was rushing to get them wrapped up since I was seeing them all the following day (there I go again with my poor time management skills)!!! :-) Here's my solution to gift wrapping when I'm in a pinch! hehehe!
Thank you for taking time out of your, I'm sure, very hectic holiday schedule to check out my blog. I hope you are all enjoying these last few days before Christmas!!

More Christmas Gifts

I made these super quick easel calendars for a few of my high school friends that I saw this past weekend. I threw them together the night before our party! I'm definitely a "create as I need" type crafter mostly because my time management skills really suck! LOL!! Anyways, I picked up the easel stands from Cute Stuff a little while ago but never used them and then thought they'd work perfect for these simple and quick gifts.
I hope you're having a great day!

Christmas Favors

I saw these cute favor boxes on the Chic' n Scratch blog a while back and decided to make them for the Christmas party I was in charge of this year.
I hope you are all having a good day. Thank you for stopping by.

Thank You from Brenda

I thought I had posted this but looking back on my posts, I realized I didn't (oops...sorry Brenda)!! Brenda sent me this thank you card using the stamp I gave her for her birthday. She even included a few cute stamps!! Isn't she just so sweet?!? Anyways, thank you Brenda for your thank you!! hehehe!! :-)
I hope you're all enjoying your day! Thank you for stopping by!

Christmas Gift for Brenda

Brenda stopped by last week to drop of some goodies for me so I thought it'd be the perfect time to give her, her Christmas gift...thank goodness I started early this year!! :-) I placed a few goodies in this gable box (my first one) and thought it was the perfect opportunity for me to use my new Itty Bitty Christmas stamps! I used stickles and liquid pearls to decorate this little Christmas cutie!!

I hope you are all able to take some time to enjoy this holiday season!! For me, I'm counting down the days until my husband returns from his work trip this Saturday!!!

Christmas Tags

Here are some Christmas tags I made use on my Christmas gifts. I've never made my own tags but after Teri surprised me with a set of her tags I thought I'd give it a try (of course, using her tags as inspiration)! :-)
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend!!

Christmas Gifts

I started on my Christmas gifts last month. I've been hooked on these framed collages ever since I won the "original" from Michelle. :-) These are 5x5 frames so I down sized everything so that it would fit into the smaller area. I thought it was a cute size and a nice gift for a few of my younger cousins.

Another Birthday Gift for Mom's Friend

So sorry that I've been MIA lately! I've had so much going on and I haven't had any real time to just sit at the computer and post things to my blog. So I'm playing catch up now. I'll start with this gift that I made for another one of my mom's friends. I put this together at the end of October.

My mom asked for another Hawaiian themed one but I was just not happy with the way it was coming out when I was putting it together. And since all the ladies that I've been putting these together for are all friends, I didn't want them to be all the same so.... Well, I thought it turned out bright and cheery and I was more satisfied with it in the end.

Here's the card that I put together to go with her gift. I added Crystal Effects to her hair and Stickles to her wings and boots.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you are all enjoying this Aloha Friday! :-)

Great RAKS from Great Ladies

I missed another one of Denise's fun filled crafting get togethers at her house this past Sunday, since my husband was being sent to Guam for work. :-( I was so bummed out and thinking about all the fun I was missing out on all day! So I was so pleasantly surprised when I heard from Brenda that she had a bunch of goodies for me from all of the sweet ladies that she met that day. Brenda even surprised me with her make n take that she put together for the group that day (I love it...I was so sad when I saw that I missed out on that)
Sorry I missed another one ladies but thank you so, SO much for all of the goodies...I love them all!!! You are all true crafting talents and I am dying to meet you all, hopefully, some day soon!!!!

Easel Card Invites

I threw these invites together last night for my upcoming Christmas party with some friends from high school. It was the first time I made easel cards and I was surprised by how fast they come together!!
(I took this picture with my phone before I sent them out which is why it's not a real good picture!)

Halloween RAK from Brenda

Happy Halloween everyone!!! I received a great surprise in the mail this week...a RAK from my GF Brenda. Brenda is a crafting talent and I always love the things she makes for me. I was admiring the recipe book she posted on her blog a few weeks ago so I was definitely excited when I found that she had sent one to me. And the recipes that were included all sound YUMMY!!! I can't wait to start making them! :-)

I made this Waterfall card to thank her for her RAK. After seeing it posted on a few blogs I wanted to give it a try. I was able to put this together withing 45 minutes...hope it doesn't fall apart! hehehe!!
I hope she likes my card. Thank you so much Brenda for always thinking of me!

Halloween Thank You Card

I made this card for my friend Michelle for the Halloween goodies she sent me a few weeks ago. I wanted to try and use the goodies that she sent me since I loved them all so much! The Witch Emma stamp, ribbon, and orange glitter were all from her. This was my first pop up card...I think it came out okay huh? I hope she likes it!

Halloween Treat Boxes

I have been visiting my dad in the hospital for a little over a week now. I have had little time to craft (or even post to my blog) since my days are spent at the hospital and/or trying to juggle other daily errands and chores with my daughter. So I do apologize for being MIA...not that I post to my blog on a regular basis anyways. :-)

It takes a special person to be an oncology nurse and you truly see this in the nurses that are caring for my dad now. He is expected to be in the hospital for a few more weeks so I wanted to make sure that the nurses there know how much we appreciate them by giving them a little something for Halloween. I decided on these treat boxes after seeing them on the Chic n Scratch blog. I needed something quick and these were perfect!

Surprise RAK

I recently ordered a few kits from Teri and was so excited when I found them waiting for me in the mail box when I got home last week. I quickly opened the envelope up and to my surprise I found an added bonus! Teri had included some goodies as a thank you for my order and for a little gift I made for her this summer. OMG...how sweet and GENEROUS is she?!?! I believe she drew the little girl on the card...I still say she should look into getting her sketches made into stamps! Thank you so much Teri!! I love everything!!

My First Shaker Card

I've been admiring all those shaker cards out there for a while. Since my SIL's birthday was this past week (and it's her Yakudoshi year), I thought it would be the perfect time to give it a try. However, even though I started her card a few weeks ago, I kept putting off finishing it up. Before you know it, it was a few hours before we had to leave for her party and I was rushing to try and finish it up...OOPS! Anyways, that's why it turned out so plain looking...I just ran out of time! :-(

Christmas Party Save the Date Cards

Every year a bunch of my girlfriends from high school get together for a Christmas party. We take turns planning it and this year just so happens to be my year to plan it (with the help of my friend Mel). Here are the Save the Date cards I made (with some help from Mel) for everyone.

I am famous for putting up invites on our fridge and then covering them up with my kids artwork or school calendar (or whatever else) and before you know it, the invite is buried not to be rediscovered until I realize the party is that week!! So I thought these stand alone cards would be perfect for my friends to place on their table or desk (or someplace where it can't be buried) as a reminder of our upcoming party. :-)

Birthday Card Book

Artwork by my 4 year old son...CNOTE=I Love You (that's what he told me..he didn't want me to help him spell it)
Artwork by my 3 year old daughter
My DH's birthday was this past Saturday. Here is the card/book that my kids and I made for him (my son is very much into military/HALO things thus the picture on the front)! :-)

Berry Thankful

Here is a picture of one of the Thank You cards I made for my daughter's birthday party. I did end up adding a scalloped circle around the strawberry/Strawberry Shortcake circle. Not that great (I know)...what I had in my mind didn't really translate IRL. Oh well...the main thing is that everyone gets a thank you from my daughter! :-)
