Easel Card Invites

I threw these invites together last night for my upcoming Christmas party with some friends from high school. It was the first time I made easel cards and I was surprised by how fast they come together!!

(I took this picture with my phone before I sent them out which is why it's not a real good picture!)

Halloween RAK from Brenda

Happy Halloween everyone!!! I received a great surprise in the mail this week...a RAK from my GF Brenda. Brenda is a crafting talent and I always love the things she makes for me. I was admiring the recipe book she posted on her blog a few weeks ago so I was definitely excited when I found that she had sent one to me. And the recipes that were included all sound YUMMY!!! I can't wait to start making them! :-)

I made this Waterfall card to thank her for her RAK. After seeing it posted on a few blogs I wanted to give it a try. I was able to put this together withing 45 minutes...hope it doesn't fall apart! hehehe!!
I hope she likes my card. Thank you so much Brenda for always thinking of me!

Halloween Thank You Card

I made this card for my friend Michelle for the Halloween goodies she sent me a few weeks ago. I wanted to try and use the goodies that she sent me since I loved them all so much! The Witch Emma stamp, ribbon, and orange glitter were all from her. This was my first pop up card...I think it came out okay huh? I hope she likes it!

Halloween Treat Boxes

I have been visiting my dad in the hospital for a little over a week now. I have had little time to craft (or even post to my blog) since my days are spent at the hospital and/or trying to juggle other daily errands and chores with my daughter. So I do apologize for being MIA...not that I post to my blog on a regular basis anyways. :-)

It takes a special person to be an oncology nurse and you truly see this in the nurses that are caring for my dad now. He is expected to be in the hospital for a few more weeks so I wanted to make sure that the nurses there know how much we appreciate them by giving them a little something for Halloween. I decided on these treat boxes after seeing them on the Chic n Scratch
blog. I needed something quick and these were perfect!

Surprise RAK

I recently ordered a few kits from Teri and was so excited when I found them waiting for me in the mail box when I got home last week. I quickly opened the envelope up and to my surprise I found an added bonus! Teri had included some goodies as a thank you for my order and for a little gift I made for her this summer. OMG...how sweet and GENEROUS is she?!?! I believe she drew the little girl on the card...I still say she should look into getting her sketches made into stamps! Thank you so much Teri!! I love everything!!

My First Shaker Card

I've been admiring all those shaker cards out there for a while. Since my SIL's birthday was this past week (and it's her Yakudoshi year), I thought it would be the perfect time to give it a try. However, even though I started her card a few weeks ago, I kept putting off finishing it up. Before you know it, it was a few hours before we had to leave for her party and I was rushing to try and finish it up...OOPS! Anyways, that's why it turned out so plain looking...I just ran out of time! :-(

Christmas Party Save the Date Cards

Every year a bunch of my girlfriends from high school get together for a Christmas party. We take turns planning it and this year just so happens to be my year to plan it (with the help of my friend Mel). Here are the Save the Date cards I made (with some help from Mel) for everyone.

I am famous for putting up invites on our fridge and then covering them up with my kids artwork or school calendar (or whatever else) and before you know it, the invite is buried not to be rediscovered until I realize the party is that week!! So I thought these stand alone cards would be perfect for my friends to place on their table or desk (or someplace where it can't be buried) as a reminder of our upcoming party. :-)

Birthday Card Book

Artwork by my 4 year old son...CNOTE=I Love You (that's what he told me..he didn't want me to help him spell it)
Artwork by my 3 year old daughter
My DH's birthday was this past Saturday. Here is the card/book that my kids and I made for him (my son is very much into military/HALO things thus the picture on the front)! :-)

Berry Thankful

Here is a picture of one of the Thank You cards I made for my daughter's birthday party. I did end up adding a scalloped circle around the strawberry/Strawberry Shortcake circle. Not that great (I know)...what I had in my mind didn't really translate IRL. Oh well...the main thing is that everyone gets a thank you from my daughter! :-)

What a Great Surprise

I was having such a hectic and stressful day on Friday...until I checked the mail that is!!! I received this awesome Halloween RAK from Michelle! I love all of the little details she added to this gift set. The Crystal Effects added on Witch Emma's hat and on the monogram initial, and the the flower and bling on her hat just add that extra little something that makes this extra sweet!

OMG...what a surprise to find all of these goodies in that one little tin container! I was so excited to find the Witch Emma stamp under all of the other fabulous goodies!!
Thank you SO MUCH Michelle!! You are too, too sweet! Your thoughtfulness really turned my day around and I am truly grateful for our new friendship!

Strawberry Shortcake Birthday Party

My daughter turned 3 on Saturday. We celebrated it by having a small Strawberry Shortcake themed birthday party for her with our family (I posted the strawberry themed invites I made a little while back). She is so into Strawberry Shortcake now, which is so much fun for me since I was a Strawberry Shortcake fan myself when I was little!! I had a lot of fun preparing for her birthday party!

A while back, I happened upon these little strawberry boxes on someone's blog. This was before my daughter got into Strawberry Shortcake. I couldn't locate the blog on which I originally saw these adorable boxes. After searching and searching (for many days), I finally found them on Lauren Meader's SCS's blog. I had to email her to get the template since the link she included in her post wasn't working. Of course, after finally receiving the template, I discover that a friend and fellow local blogger (Michelle) had the template on her Splitcoast Gallery all along! That's always the case with me...I'm a little slow!

Anyways, I knew these little strawberry boxes would be the perfect addition to my daughter's party!
I made about 60 of these. I put a Strawberries & Cream Lifesaver in each one.

These were the goodie bags I made for the little girls (I altered the measurements for these-I found the original instructions for these here)...

...and these are the ones I made for the boys. I had no clue what to do for the boys since I thought they wouldn't really appreciate the goodie bags I made for the girls! :-) I decided to go plain, and use a little camo paper for the boys since my son is so into military stuff now.

A Strawberry Shortcake themed party would not be complete without a strawberry flavored Strawberry Shortcake birthday cake (made by my mom)!! Thank you again for stopping by and for all of your kind comments! I love getting feedback from all of you! I hope you all have a great week!
