Halloween Goodies

I have been busy making small Halloween goodies for both my son and daughter. I needed about 60 Halloween treats for both of them to give out to their classes so I knew I wanted to make some quick and easy. Well, after seeing these cute little treat pouches over at Dawn's Stamping Studio I immediately knew that was what I wanted to make. Instead of the candy though, I decided to fill my pouches with glow sticks and Teddy Grahams. And here are the little milk carton houses I made for my son's teachers. I started working on them a while ago but stopped mid way to start working on some Halloween goodies that my daughter needed a bit earlier than expected. By the time I was able to start working on these houses again, I wasn't sure if it was what I wanted to create anymore.
I decided to tie the houses close so that they could get to their treats without having to tear them open.
My son is part of a shared class at his school, which means there are two classes in one room with the two teacher's team teaching. I know these teachers both work very hard...especially since they have to deal with 40 kids on a daily basis!! So I wanted to make sure they got something from my son that let them know how much they are appreciated! Well, my son just so happens to be in the same class as a certain "Mama's" son and so you can just imagine how intimidating that can be for me from a crafting standpoint! I "luv" her and am so glad to have met her in person...she is the nicest most sweetest person!! But man, I know anything I create will be nothing compared to what she creates. So my little houses are like the appetizers before her FANTABULOUS main course! If you haven't seen what Mama made for them you gotta go check it out now...................YIKES right?!? Well that's why I had to stop and think if I really wanted to give them what I was planning on making. In the end, since it's supposed to be from my son, I had him decide what he wanted to give to his teachers. He said he wanted to give them the "little house things you made" instead of picking something else out at the store! "Mama" you are freakin' amazing so I don't mind looking like an amateur in comparison to you! ;-) hehehe!!

Thanks for stopping by to visit my blog. I know I'm not a frequent poster so I truly do appreciate those of you who stop by and leave me such sweet comments! I hope you have a great weekend and a "spooktakular" Halloween! :-)
