Happy Girl's Day

Here are some super quick and simple Girl's Day gifts I put together today (yes last minute) for my kid's teachers and a few family members. I actually baked the chi chi dango (mochi) with my kids yesterday and had them help me cut it up and roll it in the katakuriko (potato starch) last night. It was definitely a fun and messy evening in our house last night. And on top of that, my kids LOVE chi chi dango so it was quite a challenge getting through the process without them trying to sneak some pieces into their mouths!! :-)

Anyways, this morning I decided to try to dress up the containers that I placed some of the chi chi dango in. I saw this bookmark on SCS and thought it would be the perfect (and quick) little "something" to add to these containers. They came together really fast and surprisingly I had all of the supplies I needed to put these girls together.

Housewarming Card

Here is the housewarming card that went along with the Home Made box that I made for my husband. Super quick and easy card to throw together...and it gave me the opportunity to ink up a stamp set that I had never used before...gotta love that!!

Home Made Box

My DH came home from work one day early last week and let me know that he needed a housewarming gift by the end of the week. Well I instantly thought about the haunted houses that Mama made for Halloween! I went to order the template and then found out that the coordinating stamp set for it would not reach me in time for the housewarming party at the end of the week! Well, luckily for me Mama is such a sweet and generous person...she let me borrow her stamp set so that I could finish putting together this little house! I wasn't quite sure how it would turn out since I was rushing to put it all together but my DH was happy with it which was the main thing for me! Thanks again so much Mama for lending me your stamp set...I truly appreciate it! :-)

Yet Another Three Tiered Card

Okay, this is the last three tiered card I'll be posting...for now! :-) Actually, I started working on this one before the other two I posted...but the recipient of this one had not received it yet so I wanted to hold off on posting it.

My initial thought for this card was to make it look like one of those lopsided three tiered cakes that were so popular. But since it was my first try at this card let's just say, I missed some opportunities to add the little details that I had envisioned in my mind. So it is crooked on purpose! LOL!! I'm just super bad with altering measurements!!

Anyways, I hope you had a great weekend! I can't believe that it's the last day of February already! YIKES!

Another Triple Tier Slider Card

Here is another triple tier birthday slider card that I made...kept it similar to the purple one I posted yesterday since the recipients would be opening their gifts together. This one came together much quicker since by this time I had a better understanding of how it all went together!! :-)

Triple Tiered Birthday Card

After running across a tutorial for this triple layered slider card, I knew I had to try and make one. Well I ended up making a few of them. This went to one of my girlfriends who recently celebrated her birthday!
It took me a few tries to get the technique down but once I understood how it all went together, it was pretty easy and fun to put together. Hope you're enjoying your weekend!

Here is a most "luv"ly Valentine's Day RAK that I received from the super sweet Mama! Thank you so much for the goodies and for thinking of me!! The chocolate is long gone and I am very excited to start using the dyed seam binding!!! :-)

Happy Valentine's Day! Quick post...here are some goodies I made for my kids teachers this year. A while ago I was surfing the web and found this cute little origami box tutorial and thought I wanted to give it a try. Well I finally got around to trying it out and I must say they were really quick and easy to put together. I used my favorite Create a Critter Cricut cartridge for these...I love that cartridge! Anyways, hope your heart day was full of love and happiness! :-)

Late Christmas Post

These are a few Christmas goodies I received from some very sweet ladies! I can't believe I forgot to post these pictures...I'm so sorry ladies! I honestly and truly appreciate your thoughtfulness, kindness, generosity, and your friendship!!

From my incredibly talented GF, Brenda! LOVE the cute little bag (with her adorable punch art gingerbread man) and Hello Kitty cake stencils!! And I will definitely make use of the tags and flower brads! Thank you so much Brenda!!

And from the awesomely talented Mama!! I can't believe how much time she must of had to put into these adorable calendar sets...while expecting too!! I totally LUV it Mama...thank you so much!!!

For some reason I've been having a really hard time juggling all that is on my plate right now which is why I haven't been crafting or posting much lately! I am hoping to be able to start getting things in order soon so that I can start visiting everyone's blogs and crafting again! Thanks again ladies for your thinking of me during the holidays!! :-)

Christmas Goodies

I had 60 little ones to make goodies for this Christmas. I decided to make some snowman soup for them....fast and simple! I used my SU! watercolor pencils to color the cute snowman...so much fun and it made the process super quick.

I got this poem off the internet and printed it up on labels for quick assembly! :-)

I was trying to come up with something to give to one of my daughter's teachers when my GF Brenda posted her hot cocoa holders! Such PERFECT timing since I already had lots of hot cocoa for the snowman soup I was making. I completely CASEd hers since they were just too perfect!! Thanks Brenda for the measurements and inspiration!! :-)

I can't believe Christmas is just a few days away...AAAHHH!!! I'm usually busy trying to get things done up until then. I never really get to just relax and enjoy the holiday season with my family. But I'm hoping I budgeted my time better this year and I'll be able to have some down time before the big day so I can t spend some quality time with them.

Christmas Gift Tags

Yikes! I am so behind on everything. But at least I'm posting this before Christmas! (Hehe!) Here are some tags I made for Christmas this year. Really quick and easy since one of my non-crafty friends wanted to make them. :-) We used my Two Tags SU! Bigz die and we were able to kick out a whole bunch of these in no time!

Quick Christmas Gifts

I am getting together with some of my high school friends for our annual Christmas party today. It's amazing that we are still holding strong to our tradition some 20 years after we all graduated. Although our group size has gotten smaller with people moving away and such, our overall size has grown with the many blessings that we have created. It's nice when we get together and are able to catch up like old times and now watch all of our children play together.

Anyways these are what I made for my girlfirends this year...quick little notebooks that I made from file folders. I made 8 of these in no time using the tutorials on SCS and Craft Project Centrals. I used my Cricut to cut out the letters and Hello Kitty's. They're cut from vinyl which made adhering them to the notebooks quick and easy. I must say that I love working with vinyl!
